The city lights are far away, and when the sea is calm and there is no fog, it can be very clear. This is the fisheye lens once can see a slightly bent roofline towards the top of the photo. This was an 8 minute exposure with 100 speed film. There is a high resolution version of this image available (88k).

This is the Hyakutake comet. I used a 90mm lens for this picture; that means that it's a pretty large object in the sky. The comet certainly did look different through the binoculars; you could see a faint core where the photo shows an overexposed blob. The greenish color is only apparent on film.
